2008 was a year of change at Harmony Labradoodles. It saw the retirement of three dogs: Windy, Eliza, and our beloved Violet. It saw the acquisition of three new dogs: California Nugget, Alpenridge Heza Charmer (Indy) and his sister, Alpenridge Sheza Charmer (Iris). Our bounding Dash moved to a care family on five acres in Soquel; pretty much heaven for him. His presence here was huge and the house seems strangely quiet without him.
We had seven litters this year; ranging from Windy's singleton litter to Eliza's litter of 10 and Kudzu's & Josie's debut litters of 9! Six feels like a comfortable maximum as I could not have done those litters without the wonderful help of care families. I am blessed to have them taking care of many of the dogs; this is an impossible endeavor without them.
And of course, the wonderful people I meet who buy Harmony puppies. I have met so many delightful good hearted people this year, it makes my heart swell with joy when I think of the wonderful families enjoying these amazing puppies.
